ESSA Energy Importer Warranty

This warranty applies to lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery energy storage systems supplied by ESSA Energy in Australia.

ESSA Energy warrants that the battery products supplied are free from defects in materials and workmanship when installed and used under normal operating conditions.

Warranty Period

The ESSA Energy battery systems are covered by a 10-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

During the warranty period, if a battery fails due to manufacturing defects under normal use, ESSA Energy will at its discretion:

• repair the defective battery
• replace the battery with an equivalent product
• provide a replacement module where appropriate

Replacement products may be new or refurbished to equivalent performance.

Warranty Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:

• proof of purchase
• installation details
• photos or video showing the issue
• battery serial number

Warranty Claims Process

If a customer believes a product has a defect covered by this warranty, they should contact ESSA Energy directly using the contact details provided below.

ESSA Energy will review the warranty claim and may request supporting information to assist with assessment. This may include installation details, product serial numbers, photographs, or system data logs.

ESSA Energy may utilise manufacturer technical support, replacement components, or factory service processes where necessary to fulfil warranty obligations and ensure continued product performance.

If the warranty claim is approved, ESSA Energy will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement of the battery module, or supply of an equivalent product.

Replacement products may be new or refurbished and will be of equivalent performance and specification.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to defects or damage resulting from:

• improper installation or incorrect wiring
• over-charging or over-discharging
• use with incompatible chargers or inverters
• physical damage, dropping or crushing
• unauthorised modification repair or disassembly
• misuse, negligence or failure to follow product instructions
• normal capacity reduction over long-term operation incorrect or non-compliant installation
• abuse, or neglect
• operation outside the specified environmental or electrical limits
• damage caused by external events such as fire, flood, lightning, or other environmental factors

The warranty also does not apply where the product has been installed

or operated in a manner inconsistent with the applicable installation manual or relevant Australian standards.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
